About us.
“It’s amazing what you can achieve when you live too far from anyone to hear them telling you that it won’t work”.
And that’s really how Trees Can’t Dance began; over 4 years ago at the world’s most northerly chilli farm. Against all conventional horticultural wisdom we began growing chillies in the wilds of Northumberland.
Perhaps surprisingly; they grew rather well and it wasn’t long before we had to find something to do with all our produce. Disappointed with the quality of the chilli sauce brands available in the UK, we hit on the idea of filling a gap in the market by producing our own sauces using homegrown ingredients.
Initially we began selling to Farmers’ Markets and local shows across the region which quickly led to high street names such as Fenwick in Newcastle taking an interest, as well as prestigious London outlets Harrods and Fortnum and Masons stocking the sauces. We now supply a broad range to farms shops and delicatessens across the length and breadth of the UK, as well as regionally to Tesco & Sainsbury’s. We’ve come along way in the past few years… it’s not been easy, but we love what we do and we hope you do too!
Please contact us if have a deli or farm shop nearby who would appreciate our variety of sauces. If they place an order we will send you a free product of your choice!
In any case have a look around our website and feel free to contact us; we would love to hear from you.
